Did a little number crunching regarding concealed carry permits and in my home state there a 570,712 permits as of the last published numbers of 2nd quarter 2014, with approximately 1 in 4 being women. In my county, 20.6% of all residents of legal age have a permit and of those 22.7% are women. So the bad guys run in 1 in 5 risk in my county of encountering someone who is packing and that number is probably a lot higher if someone decides to break into a house.
