Did any one see the PBS documentary last night GirlsRising? If you did you were seeing the bravery of little girl babies. Who sometimes are so devalued as if they were not fully human. For instance did you know what the rule of thumb means? It was a law that allowed women and girls to be beaten legally with a stick the size of the cowards thumb that beat them. And the death of pregnant women. The majority of their deaths comes from beatings by their husbands or boy friends. Can you even imagine hitting a pregnant woman? Not me. I would be there with my iron skillet! We have to support and cherish these women. Our sisters all over the world.
