Did anybody else see the story on BBC news this morning about accessibility for disabled people going to live music events? Apparently less than 1% of space is reserved for those in a wheelchair. And the limited number of seats mean many dont get to attend gigs with their friends. This week I encountered a similar problem trying to get the free carer ticket many provide, The City Hall in Newcastle requires a letter from your Doctor to indicate that a free carer is needed. Is there any music events that you think are doing a good job? I personally like the Theatre Royal, their wheelchair spaces are the best you can get and their disabled toilet is spacious. Also lets not forget Glastonbury Festival for having a changing places installed.
