Did anyone else have troubles getting a taxi last night? I had guests over last night and we were unable to get a taxi at 1:00am. - Orangeville Taxi was busy - phone off the hook like every other year - Call a Cab phone rang, but did not answer - after 5 minutes someone picked up and hung up. Tried again with same outcome. - Dufferin Taxi answered but refused call. Told me to call back at 4:00am to see if he was available. To make a longer story end here, these local cab companies need to step up on these days. This opens the roadways to impaired drivers. Luckily I was operating a tow u home program which helped but we had several calls for just rides without vehicles (which legally we cant accept due to licensing requirements). Is there anything that could be done? Rant over!
