Did anyone else notice that the owners of the 4 Lord Souls came to suffer similar fates to the original owners? We know that King Vendrick pillaged prizes from a foreign land of giants. Those prizes were the Lordvessel (containing the 4 lord souls) and the First Flame. Vendrick distributed the Lord Souls amongst his faithful subjects, much as Gwyn once distributed the Lord Souls amongst his allies. This is the reason we see the Lordvessel broken into pieces in Drangleic, it was nothing but a container for the Lord Souls. It could be the case that all undead can now travel between bonfires freely because the Lord Vessel was destroyed. The lost sinner is in possession of the Lord Soul of the Witch of Izalith. She has a chaos bug on her head, and was imprisoned for attempting to link the flame. Not exactly the same fate as the Witch of Chaos, but the suffrage resulting from it wasnt much different. Perhaps its good that she failed, considering what happened to the witch of Izalith. Demons arent a big deal in Drangleic, thankfully. The Duke of Tseldora is in possession of Seaths Lord Soul (or bequeathed Lord Soul shard at least). The Duke was a shut-in who lost his sanity, becoming obsessed with spiders. Much like Seath was obsessed with magic and studying sorcery. Not only do they share a lord soul, but they share the same title of Duke. The Rotten, a being of death and decay, possesses the Lord Soul of Gravelord Nito, and appears to be suffering a similar fate...living in darkness, buried deep beneath the Earth. The Old Iron King, a corrupted monarch, whose actions resulted in his keep being submerged in lava, much the same way as the 4 Kings of New Londo took actions which resulted in their city being submerged under water. The iron King is in possession of the 4 Kings bequeathed Lord Soul Shard, originally given to them by Gwyn. The cycle repeats itself, in another place, at another time.
