Did anyone ever go to the Salem Potato Chip plant in downtown Akron, near where the recycle plant is today, and get a hot tin of chips, fresh off the line? My dad took me there one Saturday morning and I was allowed to watch them make the chips and were took a hot tin home. The were never my favorite chip, but its one of my favorite memories of dad. I think this tin is too old and maybe by then they were in cardboard tubs, but they were warm, I remember that.
