Did anyone watch Billy Elliot last night? A great movie set against the backdrop of the greatest divisive policies ever introduced by a British government. For people too young to understand this era then you were lucky. Brother turned against father, families were torn apart. To watch a grown man prepared to go against everything that he believed to get the money to put his son to the royal ballet brought tears to my eyes, a broken man. I never thought that in my lifetime I would witness this despair running through a large section of UK society ever again, but it is happening and is set to get worse. The Scottish people have one chance to address this monstrous inequality. Most of my friends are doing ok and I am not stuck either but is this a reason to absolve oneself from what is actually taking place in this country? I was brought up to care about my fellow man and the failure of successive labour & Tory governments have left only one option for positive change. VOTE YES for a chance of an inclusive future for the people of this country.
