Did so well with first chemo - second was another story unfortunately - all was done and waiting for the chemo to be attached that is Infused over the weekend when all of the sudden my fingers went numb and tingling and my hands were white as a sheet - then my airway began to close and I could not breath. Backlash as I did so well last time. Thank God there was a delay in discharge !! And the nurse was right there gave me benedryl and two large doses of hydrocortisone - soon I could breathe Praise The Lord. Throat still tight cant drink or eat but I am home in bed - that scary chemo as I call it can cause this if exposed to cold-even though in sweatshirt, tank top, long pants and boogie socks and three blankets - I had a reaction. Its cold on the facility-my hand and wrist exposed did to IV and a bit of cool air blowing on me all day...scary scary - please pray my airway opens completely - no more adverse reactions in Jesus name thank you!
