Did the clock just S L O W down for anyone else? Will submitted his papers for early retirement TODAY and we are praying its approved. This is life changing for us! 9 years ago, he submitted his papers to get out of the USMC. He had already served 10 years and was ready. BUT, his CO sent him home to think about it for a WEEK. We did. We prayed and I asked him over my VERY pregnant belly as I was eating ramen noodles again because thats how tight our budget was, Well, what are we going to do for money? How will we pay for our growing family, 80k in debt, alimony, child support, and everything else? We couldnt answer those questions, so he stayed in and continued to faithfully serve. 6 states, 2 deployments, LONG hours of training & work days, 3 MORE kids later, we HAVE THE ANSWER. You know its coming... Beachbody. My income alone is 5x what he was making back then. We will be able to retire {almost} debt free (less NEW student loans we will owe the military for NPS), and have the FREEDOM to spend our days where we want, how we want, and with who we want. FREEDOM!! The IRONY of all of this is he is LOCKED IN to a contract that will dictate where he goes, how he spends his days, what his job will be, who he works for/with, if he has to deploy, if he can move up in rank, etc... while under the title of DEFENDING OUR FREEDOM. Pretty ironic... Hes served his time and given more than what has been asked of him. Im ready to have him HOME and able to live a life he chooses. Praying for a miracle.... Tick tock. Tick tock. Tick tock.
