Did the sugar role test today for mites. After 3 years of not doing any treatments this spring the number have passed into a zone which they require treating, 13.33% infestation rate. I will be using Mite Gone, a formic acid treatment, which will be done next week. If there is enough need or desire, I can become a distributor of Mite Gone next year. Most of you in Terrace have first year hives and it will not be an issue, just test starting in August to see what the numbers are going into the winter.
