Did the value die off? No,it never did,and it never will. Who may impact me forever by merely having been around me for a little fragment of time can be stronger than the enduring presence of everyday people who cannot. Rarely,the ones who have impacted me greatly have always been around,in one way or another. That impact may vary,but assuredly I hold onto the positive impacts that people have laid on me,not the negative,except as a lesson.
