Did u know tt there was a Singapore in USA and it was a thriving place in the 19 th century? It died because it was supplying its lumber to another place which was hit by a great fire. Putting commercial Interests over concern for ecology meant tt there were soon not enough trees to protect the place fr the winds and sands of the nearby lake. The great town perished within 4 years.
