Did you enjoy that momentary hush as we took a New Years break from social media? Well, the moments over!! We are back with fabulously exciting news -- the final addition to our Sundance Film Festival slate is actually 2 short films and 1 film studio! We are proud to announce the Polish shorts Punkt wyjścia/Starting Point and Obiekt/Object to our line up, as well as Munka Studios aka Studio Młodzi i Film im. Andrzeja Munka in Warsaw! This is, without a doubt, one of our most exciting Sundance Film Festivals line-ups: Princess פרינסס from Israel, The Little Deputy from Canada, and both Starting Point and Object from Poland. The common denominator? Amazing visual storytelling talent from emerging filmmakers (and in the case of The Little Deputy, already-emerged-filmmaker Trevor Anderson whose wonderful The High Level Bridge was on every festival program a few years ago). It refreshes my deeply-held passion for new voices in cinema that sometimes grows stale under the weight of all that repetitive, year-end, awards-speak; it renews my faith in the art of cinema (not the compromise of budgets and high profile casting), and it rewards my constant search for cinematic voices that speak to me viscerally, emotionally, and without hesitation. And besides that, these are just damn great films!!!
