Did you get a nice tan going over the summer? Or at least decrease your pastiness from ghost white to French vanilla ice cream? According to a new study, the best way to keep your tan glowing through the fall and winter isnt a tanning bed . . . its eating fruits and vegetables. Researchers in Scotland . . . where the sun never shines and no one is ever truly tan . . . found that eating carrots, sweet potatoes, broccoli, spinach, pumpkin, and melon helps keep the pigment in your skin a little yellower. Now, yellow obviously isnt tan . . . but its the key to keeping the healthy glow you get from tanning. In the study, people who ate fruits and vegetables to keep their tan going were rated more attractive than people who went to tanning beds or sat out in the sun.
