Leaders of what world? Sure as hell aint planet earth. The photos show many of the same prestigious celebrity experts annually recycled at Paleo f(x) - hey, commercialize theories arent research based, so recycling takes the place of late breaking new findings. Since I cannot recommend Paleo f(x) in good conscience, lets see what this primal deal is - sounds like Mark Sisson. Its not. Once you give them your first name and email, you gain entry to a Primal 90 video, a link to something called Inner Awakenings and a blurb about somebody named JP Sears. Inner Awakenings is his panacea services. Reads like helium filled words. How boring. But how predictable. Paleo started as good science, and the good science is still being done - just not in the commericalized Paleoism movement thats co-opted the name, not the substance. Primal-90 evidences movement to digital frontiers where before we had only the annual circus in Austin. Folks, its said modern medicine is masterful in inventing diseases to sell cures for - mostly pharmaceutical ones, but also the diagnostic services that write your prescriptions. Or DMS IV witnesses an every growing cataloguing of mental diseases that never existed before but we have pills for now. Get it: invent a disease and you invent customers called patients. These primal/paleo dog and pony shows seem like theyre selling water by the river. Lumping together all sorts of stuff in the name of Lifestyle, Health, Fitness. Doesnt have to make sense - no more than a catalogue makes sense. They miss a vital point taking away the right to suggest theyre even borderline paleo/primal: evolutionary biology. Biologists and evolutionary medicine studies integral, whole systems. An organism is not a random collection of parts - you know, organs, blood, whatever. They have to work together sustaining life. Throwing together seemingly random ideas of medicine and popular psychobabble does not constitute a system - its just a hodge podge suggesting little rhyme nor reason other than profound interest in your credit card! They say Buyer Beware! Couldnt agree more. Most of these dog and pony shoes hook you on gurus and claims: your money is better spent actively reading a few books, joining credible online discussions, even attending credible conferences.
