Did you know? Joan of Arc was born in 1412 in France. Around the age of 12 or 13 she began to hear voices and see visions, which she interpreted as signs from God to save France from the invading English. She directed troops, designed military strategies, and attempted to find diplomatic solutions with the English. In 1430 she was captured by the English and tried for many crimes including witchcraft, and was burned at the stake in 1431 at the age of 19. In 1920, the Church officially declared her a Saint. Come see as GHDT dancers portray Joan of Arc as the Maid, the Warrior, and the Saint in this powerful and athletic performance. June 27th and 28th at 7pm at the Tarkington.
