Did you know The Alexander-Withrow House is one of Lexingtons oldest surviving structures? Built in 1789 by one of the area’s first settlers and postmasters, this building was one of only two left standing after a great fire destroyed nearly all of Lexington in 1796. We are grateful to the Historic Lexington Foundation for its longstanding work in preserving this landmark building and its generous grant supporting the restoration and reinstallation of the buildings ornate iron balcony on Main Street as part of our recent renovation.
