Did you know #Tiffin is home to the National Center for Water Quality Research? The Center is located on the campus of Heidelberg University on the third floor of Gillmor Science Hall and boasts some of the best equipment and experts in freshwater research right here in our community. Today, United States Senator Rob Portman visited the Center to look at building a strong national relationship to help fix the algae issues in Lake Erie and elsewhere. The problem of harmful chemicals and toxic algae is not going away and places like this will be on the front lines to ensure the generations that follow us will have access to clean drinking water. Very proud day for my Alma mater Heidelberg!
