Did you know YES Charter Academy offers a middle school program with only 15 students in each class? Small class sizes, real scientists teaching, and clear expectations for social responsibility and academic achievement are just a few of the reasons YES Charter Academy Middle School is one of the best in the Yuba Foothills! Our new Middle School Teachers include Mr. Brian Williams, former Little League coach, and longtime resident of the Yuba Foothills. Mr. Williams is a practicing wild life biologist who came to YES this year to take on Math and Science for grades 6-8. Mr. Tom Dykstra is also a Foothills resident and formerly taught at Nevada Union High School. Mr. Dykstra is teaching English and History for grades 6-8, bringing in many opportunities for students to link real experiences and popular media with historical information, critical thinking skills, and lots of writing and reading. Together they focus on character building, social responsibility, and determination in building skills in all academic areas.
