According to the American Veterinary Medical Association, NEUTERING of MALE DOGS at 4 to 5 months of age rather than waiting until after 6 months of age may be BETTER for the long-term health and well-being of the dogs and would eliminate the possibility of accidental matings. Another study found that neutering at this age was faster and had fewer perioperative complications; it is also likely less expensive. For FEMALE DOGS ......
