Did you know that 1 in 7 people in the U.S. are currently accessing food pantries or soup kitchens? Alabama has a food insecurity rate of 18%. Although I find it very admirable that so many people have jumped on the #ALS bandwagon there will be no water pouring for me. :) I do think it amazing that something a person started snowballed into millions of dollars being raised and think its amazing the awareness that it brought for #ALS. But there are so many other worthy organizations out there too and the nation seems to have this cause covered really well. :) It goes to show you the power of social media and how all it takes is one You know what Im going to do... moment to create a lasting impact. So when that water bucket is empty I challenge you to fill it with non perishable food items and take it to your food bank because somewhere theres a mom not sure where her kids next meal is coming from. #thatsmypassion #findyours
