Did you know that John Mellenkamp had spina bifiida? I sure as hell didnt but he was just on Charlie arose show & Charlie asked him about it. Apparently when he was born, in 1951, a doctor did experimental surgery on him and 2 other babies inthe hospital at the time. The other boy died during surgery, the girl lived to age 14 (in a wheelchair) and John didnt know hed had it until he was 10 or 11 when a kid asked him what was that scar on the back of his neck for.
