Did you know that November is adopt a senior dog month??? We have some awesome seniors in our program, who need a special home with TLC! We would love to get these sweet sweet souls into their forever families before the Christmas season arrives! Bess is an 8 year old St. Bernard who has been with us for ONE WHOLE YEAR!!!!!! This sweet cuddly girl would be fine in a home with a male dog ( who is medium - large breed) but is not suited to a home with kitties or a female dog. Bess LOVES to snuggle on the couch and thinks shes a lap dog. Condor is an 8-9 year old Belgian Malinois who has led an incredibly hard life. After years of being kept in spaces way too small for him, neglected and abused, this sweet sweet soul has separation anxiety (understandably) and needs a really special family where someone is home for the most part (ie works from home or retired).Condor is an incredbly gentle soul, despite everything hes been through and every person who meets him falls in love with his warm, wise gaze. Condor gets along with other dogs and would be fine in a home with children 8+. We do not know how he would be with cats, but given his breed it is unlikely that he would be suited to a home with a kitty. This boy really needs a special home who will shower him with love and affection and understand his needs. Lucy is a 6 - almost 7 year old Lab x Shepherd who joined our program after being bounced around from home to home. As she had no real consistency, her medical needs were never really taken care of. She came to rescue with a very sore back end and has now undergone cruciate repairs in both legs. She has recovered nicely and is doing well... she just needs a family to love her! Because of her inconsistent life before coming to rescue, Lucy also developed some mild anxiety which is easily managed. This girl might be a bit of a diamond in the ruff, but she is SUCH a nice girl. She gets along well with dogs and cats, and loves everyone she meets. She is house trained, walks well on leash and even knows her commands. All she needs is a family to love!
