Did you know that South Slough has an Oregon Coast Quest on our trails? Quests are fun, free-choice learning adventures that use clues and hints to encourage participants to discover the natural, cultural and historical treasures of place and community. Suitable for groups of all ages, self-guided Quests allow lifelong learners to explore parks, trails and other outdoor spaces in new ways and at their own pace. Most Quests are located on the Central Oregon Coast, but they are popping up on the South Coast as well. hmsc.oregonstate.edu/visitor/oregon-coast-quests Visit the Friends of South Slough Bookstore and More to pick up a copy of the Quests book and hit the trails for an interactive guided hike while discovering what makes Port Orford cedars a very unique tree in our forest community with the Port Orford Cedar Quest. Later you can take on a city adventure to explore the Coos Bay Then and Now Quest or test out the brand new Port Orford Heads State Park Quest.
