Did you know that: The nuclear program of Iran was launched in the 1950s with the help of the United States as part of the Atoms for Peace program. The participation of the United States and Western European governments in Irans nuclear program continued until the 1979 Iranian Revolution that toppled the Shah.Both General Dynamics and Siemens went into a partnership to build 20 nuclear reactors and were paid $5 billion in advance.Siemens started the program by building the contraversial Boshehr reactor.Construction was suspended only after the US severed its diplomatic relations with Iran after its embassys hostages debacle and the outbreak of the Iraq-Iran war.The MIT even built Irans only research center in the University of Tehran from where most of Irans nuclear scientists were educated and trained.The Wests and Israels posture on Irans nuclear program reeks of humbug.They were the real ones who started it.This is just another brazen example of their hypocrisy.Its worth noting here too that enriching uranium to 20% is permitted under the PTA!!
