Did you know that a recent study confirmed that homeless youth in Colorado do better educationally than youth in foster care??? The study also found that: * Fewer than 1 in 3 Colorado students who were in foster care during high school graduated within four years; * Approximately 1 in 11 students dropped out one or more times; * Students in foster care dropped out earlier in their educational careers than other unique populations; and * One in three students in foster care was identified as having a disability and eligible for special education services. Youth who remained in foster care longer had better educational outcomes. Our CASA Volunteers are working hard to help youth identify their goals and help them succeed. Our Fostering Futures program rewards foster youth for graduating or obtaining a GED. Youth can earn a stipend up to $1,000 towards emancipation by participating in the program. In fact, last year our foster youth in the program demonstrated a 47% increase in educational success. This is what our supporters have helped us accomplish! Thank you for helping us help our foster youth! To read more about what was published regarding this study, visit us3.campaign-archive1/?u=cd781c9bc8f90270567729e9e&id=340f04b88e&e=bc29f7bb4b
