Did you know that in lieu of cattle, to practice moving animals you can use sheep and goats? We have! Talk to a professional before trying this, and remember that moving different types of animals means that their behaviors will be different. We did this all in a safe, enclosed space at a walk and halt. Remember that sheep get overheated easily, so the key is to be quiet and careful. A different thing than the cattle phase, maybe, but it still allows your horse and yourself to understand the basic concepts of moving. Be careful, and safe!
