Did you know that my father passed away eight years ago? One of the best things to happen to me from that cancer experience was I found Camp Kesem. Its a camp for kids whose parents have/had cancer. Its a one week sleep away camp where we can just be kids and have fun, and be with other kids who are all experiencing the same stresses and issues at home. So, if you know a family who has a parent with cancer, that has a child from 6-16, please share this with them. They just opened registration for this summers camps which are run by over 50 college campuses across the US. Itll be a most life changing experience for the family, it really is special to be with other kids and caring counselors who understand what you are going through.
