Did you know that small businesses comprise 95 per cent of all businesses in the province, account for over a third of private sector employment and generate over 27 per cent of Alberta’s GDP. The Redford government is looking to reduce red tape and give entrepreneurs a stronger voice in government so even more small Alberta businesses can be successful. Over the next couple of months our government will engage with small business owners and entrepreneurs in eight communities across the province. We will also be providing an opportunity for online feedback to complement these in-person sessions. What we hear from this engagement will help shape Alberta’s new strategy for small business success. The engagement sessions will be led by MLA Dave Quest for Strathcona-Sherwood Park and will be held in Calgary, Edmonton, Fort McMurray, Grande Prairie, Medicine Hat, Lethbridge, Lloydminster and Red Deer.
