Did you know that the Rodelsa Hall has a Yamaha piano but the way it was constructed was the same as a Steinway? So, its better to do an overhaul than to buy a new (much more expensive) one. the Steinway official technician whom I had a chance to talk to a week ago, told me. He came and spent two days to tune the pianos in preparation for the 3 recitals (yesterday and another one next Saturday and on Nov. 22). The school will spend about a million pesos to overhaul the piano in Rodelsa and our baby grand in the audio-visual room. This will take about 2 months to do and the technician will come all the way from Manila. And another baby grand donation is coming. Meaning, more quality recitals are coming. Btw, Rodelsa Hall is the best concert hall in Mindanao. Cagayan de Oro and its neighbouring towns and cities are so lucky to have Liceo de Cagayan University who promotes world class music.
