Did you know that unless a personal trainer has also completed a nationally recognised and accredited nutrition qualification or a tertiary degree/ diploma , they are NOT legally permitted to provide personalised meal plans?? They are permitted to provide nutrition guidance which in itself is dangerous territory if they are just using a couple of text books and Google as their source of education. Please ask any prospective PT to see their qualifications in nutrition before you agree to any meal plans. Likewise I would never pass myself off as a PT unless I had the qualification. ALL my Nutrition clients are referred onto the PTs I work with and this is IMO the professional and ethical way to do things. Any PT who hasnt got the nutrition kudos to dish out meal plans but does so anyway should be ashamed of themselves .
