Did you know the National Air and Space Museum, Smithsonian - TopicsExpress

Did you know the National Air and Space Museum, Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC has the backup satellite for TIROS I and II? The satellite was used in ground testing here at Camp Evans and was finally transferred by NASA to the Museum in 1965. Our vision is to display a full-scale model of the TIROS satellite here at The InfoAge Science History Learning Center and Museum to help tell the incredible story of how the worlds first weather satellite paved the way for NASA and NOAA. Please help support this effort by donating at infoage.org/donate
