Did you notice when you asked Jesus Christ to be your Lord and Savior, the first thing the devil tried to do was convince you that salvation is not real. Satan tries to put doubts into our minds about our salvation experience. As you see, I used the word experience for a reason. The devil wants us to believe that salvation is an experience, not a promise from our Lord. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 2:8, For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. So, we know that salvation is not based on an experience, but is is by grace; and, it is the gift of God. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:12. I know many of us are overwhelmed with the amount of evil in the world. Have you wondered how we got to this place of wickedness and perversion? Its hard to watch the news anymore because your heart becomes so heavy and we feel helpless. The time on this earth is short and Satan is doing everything he can to destroy our relationship with Jesus. He also wants to keep believers in a defeated life. If he cant cause us to leave our faith, the devil will try other schemes to distract us from our real purpose on earth. How do we defeat Satan? Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Ephesians 6:13. Did you notice in this verse, it doesnt say IF the day of evil comes - it says WHEN. We must put on the full armor of God every day so that we can stand against the devils schemes. Jesus is LORD and the devil is defeated!
