Did you read Independent Newspaper yesterday? Here are what our SSG has to say: 1. There is no agreement that Delta North will produced the next Delta State Governor. 2. Since Delta Local Govt are not economically viable, the state will not conduct LG election. While am not a politician the number 1 is not my concern, but l totally disagree with his number 2. The following questions bothers my mind: -If the LGs are not economically viable, where does the state make their money from? -Why was caretaker committee set up and not allow DPM to run the LG? -Was LG set up for economic gain or for grass root development? -During elections do any politician need votes from LG, wards or Units to emerge as a winner? All we are saying, whether ecomically viable or not, give elected LG Executives, Caretaker committee is unconstitutional.
