Did you read my article on the eye being the light of the body? If what I am saying has any merit then it must pass an acid test. It must mesh, blend, and marry with other teachings of Jesus. That does not mean it will blend with any of paul’s teachings or be confirmed in the old testament. Matt 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matt 10:26 Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known. What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye hear in the ear, that preach ye upon the housetops. And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Take this last script as a warning; saying what Jesus tells you can get you into trouble. The first script is a bold declaration of our WORKS not God’s grace. The 2nd script refines what light really is. Is God telling you stuff that you cannot wait to share with others. Jesus will personally come to you and explain his teachings. Are there limitations to this teaching? Yes, we are not to cast our pearls before swine. Who are swine? These are people who have no respect for Jesus teachings. Odd thing, the greatest most consistent group of people who do not grasp the personal teachings of Jesus are called christians but anyone who is religious does not follow his teachings. This is incredibly amazing! How is that possible? Jesus said to his church; You have made void the word of God with your traditions (here he is speaking to the Jewish church). Where did the traditions come from? The word of God! How is it possible for a tradition made from the word of God void the word of God? You will have to ponder that for awhile because it really messes with your head. The answer is simple; it is because of satan. This guy can take any script and pervert it into something awful. He is excellent at his job and God would have it so. Why would he do such a thing? First, you have to realize that God has been doing this for awhile (it is not his first rodeo). Did you ever explain something to someone and you were certain they understood but after a while you realized they didn’t really get it and you had to go back and reexplain it to them? To grasp a teaching of Jesus you have to confirm it with his other teachings; they all confirm each other and anything that does not fit you can reject. What I have done here in this article is show you how the same message runs through all his teachings. Not a single one of Jesus teachings stand alone. They all back each other up. The kind of logic that meshes all his teachings is not found anywhere else in the world and never will be found anywhere else. Only God could do such a thing. Anyway, have a good day!
