Did you see our photos and story today about Bubba, the dog who was so horribly abused by a sick individual? Well, the sick individual is not going to see the inside of a jail cell at all. Why? because our animal abuse laws in Mississippi are horribly inadequate. And to make matters worse, the Mississippi House of Representatives have told our spokesperson for getting change at our Capital, Lydia Sattler, state director for HSUS, that their constituents dont care about animal abuse issues and they dont think it is an issue. Please let your representative know that you DO in fact CARE about animal abuse and animals like Bubba. Please, lets try to get some sort of a real punishment for people who do things like this to animals. Go to the Mississippi House of Representatives website and find your representative and CALL THEM. TELL them that you do CARE an that you will be watching their activities related with such and if they do not do the right thing and make a difference for animals in our State, vow to vote AGAINST them. Do not allow the suffering Bubba endured to become an acceptable action.
