Did you think the rain would mess up the annual Stokes Stomp? Well, if so, you (and the meteorologists!) were wrong. :) It was a spectacular day at Moratock Park--great temperatures, straw on the ground to absorb leftover mud, terrific music, delicious food, interesting vendor booths, even blue skies in the afternoon. You have one more day to enjoy this beloved Stokes County tradition. Head out tomorrow to hear the renowned John Cowan and others. I am so thankful to the Stokes Arts Council for the incredible labor they put into this event. Check out this great song by one of my favorite groups--Blues Creek.
