Did you watch OWNs special on Sag Harbor? It was formerly an all-Black, seaside community, the only place AAs could purchase beachfront in the 40s and 50s. With the shrinking availability of ocean front or nearby properties in the surrounding, tonier Hamptons, SH is now hot real estate. Its a sellers market.. Land that has been in families for generations is being sold to the highest bidder. Oceanfront real estate!!! So many thoughts as I listened to the stories of the lifelong residents. I really related to where they were coming from. Sometimes its about more than money. Sometimes its about community and legacy and that sense of owning your piece of the American dream - things that money cant buy.
