Didier Drogba has heaped praise on his new club teammate, Diego Costa, by backing the Spanish International to succeed at the London-based club [ESPN]. Drogba, who returned to the club that he spent eight years at, spoke about the man who has been recruited after a hugely successful league-winning campaign with Atletico Madrid, with whom he scored 35 goals in all competitions. Ive been watching Diego play over the last few years and the first time I saw him I really liked him as a player, Drogba told ESPN. I like his character, hes solid, he can score goals and hes also technically gifted. He likes people to respect him and thats important. The 36-year-old then added some further remarks on Chelsea’s transfer dealings as a whole over the current transfer window so far. The club also brought in Filipe Luis from Atletico, along with Spanish midfielder, Cesc Fabregas, with Drogba himself becoming Chelsea’s fourth signing of the summer transfer window. Belgium keeper starlet, Thibaut Courtois, also returned to Stamford Brige after a three years loan spell at Atletico. It was very important for us to buy these players, they are all good signings. To have Cesc with us, I think hell understand its better to be with us than against us, Drogba added They are good players and I hope they will bring their talent and experience to the team. Do you think that Chelsea have done good business this summer? Will Diego Costa be successful at the club? EH17
