Didnt know this about the change to electronic taxing of cars from October (no more tax discs).. When you sell or buy a car, the tax will no longer be transferred – as a seller, you will get a refund of any over payments, as a buyer you will have to tax your new motor straight away. It will be up to the seller to alert the DVLA – and there will be fines of up to £1,000 for those who fail to do so. #theguardian
