However, he appears to have bowed to Mourinhos wishes, with Alvaro Morata, Jose Callejon and Paco Alcacer picked as the countrys forward options ahead of Costa. Elsewhere, Juan Mata also misses out on the squad, with the midfielder struggling to cement his position in Louis van Gaals Manchester United starting XI this season. The former Chelsea star was benched for the 1-0 defeat to Manchester City and will remain at Carrington during the international break. His club team-mate David De Gea does make the cut, however, alongside fellow Premier League representatives Cesc Fabregas, Santi Cazorla and Cesar Azpilicueta.
