Diet Plan in Ramadan : What can I eat? The key is to eat foods that have a minimal glycemic index impact, yet still eat healthy and nutritious foods. Fruits, vegetables, nuts, beans, eggs, and lean meats are all very natural and very good for you. They also dont cause a significant increase in blood sugar levels. Timing of meals: The body figures out that it is only getting one meal a day and decides that it needs to store everything. So everything you eat gets stored as fat. Normally, Id tell eat small frequent meals throughout the day. Well, you cant do that in Ramadan. So you have to eat small, frequent meals throughout the night. This helps avoid the spikes in blood sugar levels and will keep you even and balanced. So what do you eat? 1-At the Iftar Time: Drink as much as you can water , and eat 2 dates (more than 3 bites each) . 2-You can pray Maghreb Prayer and take 5 minutes break and then eat 6 nuts and eat your salad and sure drink water and rest for 15 minutes 3-Do your exercise (Gym , Running - Cycling - Soccer - Home Exercises ) whatever it is 4-After finishing your workout eat the rest of your meal (protein (Chicken -Tuna- Meat ) + Soup and Salad) 5-After 2 hours eat your snack (fruit or Salad) (Preferably berry like strawberry and blueberry which has low glycemic index) 6-At Sehour: (Before an hour of your sleep) , Eat beans (olive oil only) OR 2 Boiled Eggs (dont exceed 3 days) +and yogurt with half loaf of local bread or two brown toast and you may eat green salad What About Deserts? Once a week is ok, but very small portions. Do not indulge. Otherwise, you will put weight back on.
