Dieting. Male or female, you should be eating as much food as possible whilst still maintaining fat loss. Depending in your start point, you could be eating in excess of 3000+ calories per day. Yet we still see highly active individuals consuming less than 1200 calories a day. All you are doing is downgrading your thyroid, making it harder to lose further weight in the future and running the risk of having a bad rebound and regaining more weight than you have lost. With over 50% of clients, i work on slowly increasing food intake by 50-100 calories a day per week. This done slowly and correctly will help repair any damages of chronic under eating and calorie restriction and as a result, a large percentage of these people then go on to drop further bodyfat whilst increasing caloric intake. More food+more fat loss= happy customers As a guideline, the minimum amount for a completely sedentary woman who does no exercise is 1200 calories. Note, this is a minimum! it shouldnt ever be as low as this, and this value is the lowest possible amount in which you can consume the essential amount of vitamins and nutrients. Any less than this and you are seriously damaging your health. Just a little something to think about.
