Dieudonne. Oh you bastard. Ive had WAY too much coffee and my brain is in overdrive so I focus on you. Or is it the chanting people in the streets of Paris barking about Jews that makes me nervous. Dieudonne is just a comic and in my book must be given a wide bearth to make his bed to lie in. Banning Dieudonne doesnt seem to be working. It makes it really hard to find out what exactly his act is and glorifies him in the eyes of some serious assholes who are antisemitic. I cant tell if he is just cashing in on the unspoken zeitgeist or if he really does hate Jews. Either way I like folks to be able to hang themselves rather than try to guess how they really feel because expression is censored. Seems like the problem is that antisemitism is still alive and well and just below the surface in Europe along with racism and a whole host of other nonsense that we still hold dear to our wretched withered hearts. I dont care for Nick DiPaolos or Andrew Dice Clays act and find them distasteful but they have every right to make their point. I dont want to ban Fox. I want to end the ignorance behind Fox (and MSNBC when they act like Fox). I reject Dieudonnes wide brush sophomoric view of Zionism and the Shoah but by all means keep this thought out in the light instead of lurking in the alleys of Paris on the lips of bigots. And p.s., the Quenelle....it looks like something from a Mel Brooks movie. What is it with Fascists and their secret hand signs? I have a California howdy in my pocket for ya sly little shits.
