The Sunday Times today: A new analysis by the Sutton Trust reveals that in 2011-12 five top schools supplied as many entrants to Oxbridge as 1,800 state schools who also send it students. Westminster, Eton, St Pauls, Hills Road Sixth Form College Cambridge and Peter Symonds College Winchester produced 260 Oxbridge students. Now, setting aside the mathematical query as to how 1,800 state schools who send students to Oxbridge could secure fewer than 260 places, an alternative way of reporting the same story would be: A new analysis reveals that in 2011-12 two state schools were amongst the top five producers of Oxbridge places in the country. Hills Road Sixth Form College in Cambridge and Peter Symonds College in Winchester ranked with Westminster, Eton and St Pauls in the survey by the Sutton Trust.
