Difficulties with Weight Loss Many of us out have difficulties - TopicsExpress

Difficulties with Weight Loss Many of us out have difficulties losing the excess weight we gain. For some, hard work and dedication will take off the extra 10 pounds, but for others weight loss is often very difficult to achieve. If you are someone who is eating healthy and exercising regularly (2-3 times per week minimum) and you notice very little difference in weight, I would suggest that you look further for answers. In my practice, I work mostly with clients who are having difficulties losing weight. After running lab work and looking closer at their health history, I am finding that the majority of these clients are actually suffering from some sort of health deficiency. For instance, I am finding that in many cases women are low in iron or Vitamin B12. This is something that can be discovered by a simple blood test and if you look up symptoms of an iron or B12 deficiency, weight gain is often listed as an indicator. Once these deficiencies are addressed with diet and supplementation, most of my clients have been successful with weight loss. Our body’s natural response to any deficiency is to protect itself. In the case of an iron deficiency, the body is unable to produce enzymes, support the immune system, convert blood sugar to energy, and facilitate oxygen flow throughout the body to name a few. Once the body is in a state of stress, it will no longer respond to even further stress such as any attempts at weight loss. This is why it is so important that you identify any deficiencies you may have and address them before you start a weight loss regimen. Iron or a B12 deficiency is only one of the possible causes of weight loss struggles. However, there are many more, from a hypothyroid to glucose impairment issues to hormonal imbalances the possibilities are really endless. My suggestion to those of you who are struggling with weight loss and for the most part eat healthy and exercise, please do your homework and/or work with a health practitioner who can help you find the answers you need. If you are interested, my Lose 10, Get Healthy Program is designed with this purpose in mind. Please note that we also have a medical doctor on our team who can run all appropriate testing if you do not currently have a family doctor; working with him is also covered by your medical plan.
