Dimestore Surrealism (for SHahla ROsa) by John Thomas - TopicsExpress

Dimestore Surrealism (for SHahla ROsa) by John Thomas Allan Andre Breton walks in a New Age shop where dead people sell novelties. Being dead, they rake in all profits at these corporate Malls. Squeaky laughter sounds when patrons pay upward of a billion for a family memento, a word for Jonathan Edwards. No proof of purchase. Breton’s face is chalk white, pallid, alive or dead he‘s happy to be there. I ask how he’s doing. He doesn’t give a clear answer because well he’s Andre Breton. He holds a pastel blue flower top spinning, and dots of blueberry juice spatter me right on the kisser. I’ll be damned if it doesn’t taste real. Why do you mess with my subconscious when I’m asleep? I ask. I heard it coming, those white laughing squeaks: “Antinomies, artificial, automatic…” I fall asleep.
