Ding dong, the witch is dead! Labeled the Forest peace deal, it brought absolutely NO PEACE to the 1000s who have lost their jobs. NO PEACE to the families who have waved goodbye to their children and their families as they have moved interstate for work. And NO PEACE to the children who are still having to say goodbye to their dads for weeks and months on end as they go away to provide for their families! It has brought NO PEACE to contractors and their employees who dont know if there will be work next week. NO PEACE of mind for investors and NO PEACE for our economy! It has brought NO PEACE to the families who have crumbled under the financial burdens and emotional stress and separated under the pressure. NO PEACE to those who have lost their homes and NO PEACE to those who have lost loved ones to suicide! STEP 1, complete but there is a long way to go. The ball now sits in the court of FSC. In theory, the repeal of this bill should make no difference on obtaining FSC as long as criteria for attainment is met.
