Dinner with a friend at Maggs last Saturday. Their Facebook banner lists them as Italian/Thai/Seafood, but the menu looked more British than Italian. My friend ordered the cold cuts platter and a filet while I had the salmon, a lobster bisque, and the lamb chops. The appetizers were presented very nicely and tasted as you would expect. The beef filet was absolutely superb, and cooked perfectly rare as ordered. Very tender with an outstanding flavor. My only disappointments were that the lobster bisque was rather thin without much flavor and the lamb chops were a bit too well done (I ordered them medium rare), which made the meat a bit tough and chewy. Nevertheless, they were nicely seasoned and presented and the mashed potatoes were very good. All in all a good dining experience on a Saturday evening. The staff and the owners were super friendly, attentive, and fun to talk with.
