It consists of gentle exercises suitable for all ages and abilities. Qigong works with the same energy that an acupuncturist manipulates to heal and strengthen systems in the body. In this Beginning Qigong workshop, we will do slow gentle flowing movements similar to Tai Chi, yet less complicated. You will learn a series of simple standing movements focused on five organ systems: Lungs, Kidneys, Liver, Heart, and Spleen. These movements are easily adapted to one’s physical ability and can even be done while seated in a chair. The length of the routine may be adjusted by changing the number of repetitions done, giving you more flexibility to fit a session into your day. Doing these movements in a mindful manner cultivates energy and is a great way to relax and melt stress away.
